Patient before Profit

Say NO to the Americanisation of our health system.
Say YES to keeping our hospitals public.

The NSW State government wants to privatise 4 more public hospitals .... just like America!

First it was the Northern Beaches, then it was five more public hospitals. They backed down over Goulburn Hospital, but Wyong, Maitland, Shellharbour and Bowral are still under threat.

Help stop the NSW Government from Americanising our public health system.

Think what losing a truly public hospital will mean for the health staff and local communities.

If we go down the path of privatising public hospitals, it will only lead to the domination of health care by private for-profit companies and a rise in social inequity.

Imagine paying the same fearful American costs (US$):

Childbirth*: $38,975
Chest pain*: $69,635
Broken foot**: $45,592

Local and global evidence shows that the more the private sector gets involved, the more expensive the system becomes, with little improvements to quality of care – just like the US.
